Rockin' Reviews: X-Men Days of Future Past!!! (And Last Post *tear*)
Hey, hey, hey Marvel fans! Last night I went to see X-Men Days of Future Past and I have a few things I would like to say about this movie. First off, let me just say wow wow wow to those centennial cgi's. This movie has everything an x-men movie should have: violence, sweet new mutants, comedy, and a good wolverine fight. In this movie the X-Men send Wolverine to the past in a desperate attempt to save the future and the fates of both mutants and humans. Besides the amazing plot, the acting was on point. *cough* Michael Fassbender *cough* .
Quicksilver, a new addition to the X-Men family, was played by none other than Evan Peters. The witty personality he put into Quicksilver was spot on, I loved every second he was on screen, and quite frankly I wish he had MORE screen time. As most people may or may not know the character Quicksilver will also be in Avengers: Age of Ultron, but is played by Aaron-Taylor Johnson. The weird thing about this is both we in the superhero movie Kick-Ass back in 2010. The question here is, who will play the part better?
Back on topic, the movie was everything I wanted it to be and more. Even the famous end credits scene was magnificent. I RECOMMEND YOU WATCH THIS MOVIE!
This will also be my very last post :( It's been great writing on this blog, and writing on a topic that I care so much about. Movies are more than just entertainment they are expression of self.

Story Time and Rockin' Reviews: Heaven is For Real
First off I had the privilege of going to see a special showing of it last April 10th. I won tickets to the early showing from my 3rd hour teacher Ms. Tran. some of the other people who won tickets were Luke Martin and Kayla Wright. Each Ticket allowed for two people admission. I immediately thought of taking my mom, who LOVES the book and is kinda obsessed with it, with me to be my date to the movie. We were so excited that we left an hour early to see the movie, but to our surprise that did us no good. First of all we got stuck in traffic on the highway because of a bad accident between a car a and a truck. Finally free from the the build up after 15 minutes we headed off to Star Theatre only to have of dreams crushed. They told us that the movie was sold out, and i understand that it does say (in small print) on the ticket that just because you have the ticket doesn't mean you will get in, but why would they print out more tickets to a showing than they can fit in their theatre!? After pleading with the lady she went to go check for any open seats and managed to find some for us in the very... front... row. Which we had no choice but to agree to.
NOW ON WITH THE REVIEW!
I you are not familiar with 'Heaven is For Real' it is based off a TRUE book of the same name. The book follows the life of the Burpos and their son named Colton who after going into surgery for a punctured appendix claims he went to heaven. Even though the Burpos and his Father Todd, a pastor at the local church, are a very Christian family they (along with the rest of the town) don't know if they believe Colton or not.
From a person that is not very religious like at all I can say that this movie is sincerely good. I liked it a lot. It's heart touching and has a bit of humor. I recommend all of you see it if you get the chance.
